The quiet area where this place is located, along with the nearby local market and the friendly staff, made our stay enjoyable.

Overall it was a comfortable stay for the price. This place was exactly what we had in mind, do recommend.

Incredible location so close to the park, market and transportation, and restaurants, it's very central. Plus, the hotel is 4 km from Saigon Zoo And Botanical Garden...

The hostel is in a good location, a little off the main tourist drag. The staff are friendly and helpful. The whole hostel is really clean. I enjoyed staying there.

The hotel is nice, our room was clean and of a decent size. The hotel staff was very kind, attentive and helpful all the time. They really did their best to make our stay in Vietnam as good as possible. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting hcmc.

The building of this place is excellent and the rooms are very good with a nice shower.

The shared female room was too small so it was difficult to move around when you need something from you bagpack and the price it was a little expensive as for the same price I've foun a private single room

The staff was incredibly helpful and competent. the hotel had a peaceful location close to the bus terminal. the food they offered was good and had a huge variety of meals.

We stayed in a private twin room and the quality was equal to that of a hotel. It was super clean (which is VERY important to me), the staff were extremely helpful (particularly Hung and Jao) and the location is perfect; we were able to walk to all the main sites and markets within 30mins from the hostel. I would definitely stay at Phan Anh again.

Only complaint was that the showers appeared to get cooler throughout the night so if you were showering around 10:00pm it would be warm yet if you showered around midnight it'd be barely lukewarm. Wasn't a major problem for me as it was so hot in Ho Chi Minh the cool showers felt rather nice.

This hostel was amazing! The staff were so friendly and always ready to help! Any problems were dealt with imediatly! I felt very safe and comfortable at this hostel. Would recommend it to anyone :)

We greatly enjoyed it and recommend the place. the staff were very pleasant yet not intrusive. - the hotel had a very central location close to everything.

The place seems quite new, and the rooms and bathrooms was clean and well made up. I stayed in a females only doom and was pleased with the quality of the room and the beds. The room had a locker which fitted my small bakcpack and other valuables. Clean bathroom with a nice shower. Ok breakfast, although you could only choose coffe/te or juice with your meal, not both. Recetion staff is nice and friendly, and helps you book tours and buss tickets. Location is good, in the backpacker district with many bars and restaurants. Not far from the more expensive area and the marked either. The busses stops 5 min. walk from the hotel. The Hostel is located down an alley behind a small marked. Could be difficult to find. Travelling on a low budget this place is great value for money! Absolutely the best Hostel I stayed on travelling in Vietnam and Cambodia.

When I arrived I was told they had some problems with the doorlock, and I would have to wait 5 minutes. That was 5 Vietnamese minutes, as I waited for over half an hour. Eventually I told them I didn't have time to wait anymore as I had some sightseeing to do. I left my bag in the reception, and they placed in the locker in my room when the doorlock was fixed. This was good service during the circumstances. My last night I was asked if it was ok if some guys slept in the room, as apparantly there had been a overbooking. They gave me a discound on the room, and for me it was ok since I was leaving the next day anyway. These two incidents wasn't really a big deal, and they were dealt with properly. So I don't have any complaint about this place.

The breakfast here with fresh fruit was delicious, and the staff were extremely helpful and capable.
